Quality management
Quality management and quality assurance will be of ever-increasing importance in the future. Thus, the Anaesthesiology, Intensive Medicine and Analgesic Therapy Clinic not only takes these issues very seriously but also practices them in various internal and external areas. Quality assurance, for example, comprises the taking of samples for spot-checking any autologous blood withdrawn and returned in order to verify and confirm the perfect quality of this blood in the laboratory. Other quality assurance measures are to collect anaesthesiological data and distributing the resulting DGAI core records to various umbrella organisations for internal and external evaluation and to contribute to the regional anaesthesia network. To perform in-house quality management, the Anaesthesiology, Intensive Medicine and Analgesic Therapy Clinic appoints several members of their staff to actively contribute to assessing the different quality criteria.
