The anaesthetics care team currently consists of 13 fully and partly employed members, all of whom are chartered male and female nurses. Most of them specialised in anaesthetics and intensive care and have had additional training to that effect. The members of the anaesthetics care team support the physicians of the anaestesiology, intensive medicine and pain therapy clinic in the planning and carrying out of post-surgery ward round to pain catheter patients. Apart from normal care like regularly changing wound dressings, our anaesthetics care team do all of the afternoon ward round to the pain catheter patients themselves. The RKU's Anaesthetics Care Team is one of the stations up and coming nurses specialising in anaesthetics and intensive medicine take as part of their further training which is carried out in cooperation with Ulm University Clinics and the army's Bundeswehrkrankenhaus Ulm.
