The private special technical college belonging to the RKU is a government-approved alternative school. It assures that the apprentices of the special professions office clerk and specialized office clerk in the department medical-occupational rehabilitation can fulfil their compulsory school attendance. From the point of view of dual professional education the school contributes its part to a successful apprenticeship. The special technical college conducts the theoretical exams for the respective technical college diplomas.
Succeeding in the theoretical and practical exam at the same time means the completion of compulsory secondary schooling. The student receives a certificate as proof.
As the special technical college is a schooling institution with a special educational mission its exceptional characteristic is the low number of students per class (8-15 students). It is equipped with all modern learning facilities, works in well-lit, friendly rooms and co-operates with the department for medical-occupational rehabilitation of the RKU as company that takes on trainees.
The staff members have received special educational training and are integrated into support plans and specialized discussions.
