Laboratory
The clinical laboratory is an interdisciplinary central department and, as such, the crucial point of help that no clinic department can do without when it comes to diagnostics and therapy control. Using the latest in analytical technology the laboratory covers the entire range of blood, fluid and urine testing.
It also performs the clinic's blood bank management including the serologic blood group diagnostics. To keep the large volume of autologous plasma and blood, the laboratory has an extensive store which is still filled to the utmost of its capacity.
Homologous blood of the Ulm blood donor centre is stored and managed in a separate depot affiliated to the German Red Cross.
