Wound treatment and documentation
Effective and efficient wound treatment is a central care topic. We accept the challenge of consistently questioning traditional methods and of making the diversity of products transparent to all nurses.
We therefore strive for a coherent concept of wound treatment conceived of a standardised base for all "wound treaters". Our aim is to warrant that all of the RKU's means and methods of wound treatment are up-to-date and in line with legal provisions. Such means and methods are always discussed with the physician in charge first.
Taking into account aspects of quality assurance and economic feasibility, the concept renders sound support to daily practical needs. Since legal provisions (DKG's recommendations) demand that all wound treatment be documented, the concept is not least focussed on the topic of wound documentation.
In its practical approach, the concept is designed for daily practice. It is therefore reviewed on an annual basis and revised as dictated by changing necessities.
