Research and Teaching
The clinic for orthopaedics and the clinic for neurology represent their specialist fields in research and teaching at the university Ulm. For this purpose they have got their own research facilities, like a morphologic laboratory including electro-microscopic examination facilities, or a neuro-chemical laboratory with very detailed and modern analysis techniques.
Better possibilities of treatment are the aim of our research activities, as today's research results decide about tomorrow's therapy.
Closely related to research is the duty to give future doctors a detailed education and professional training and to provide further education for doctors in every-day work. For this purpose there are practical courses at the patients' beds and lectures in the lecture hall.
